Welcome to the registration page for the 10th annual Stars Over KatahdinThis year we will gather at Taylor’s Katahdin View Campground in Staceyville, Maine on Saturday, October 14th.

Event Schedule

Noon - 2:30 PM: Partial solar eclipse
Safely view the partial solar eclipse with expert astronomers. Solar glasses will be provided.

Noon - 4 PM: Family activities with the National Park Service
Children will have the opportunity to earn their Night Sky Explorer Junior Ranger badge. 

Noon - 6:30 PM: Lunch, snacks, and dinner from Oak Creek Smokery
Fire-roasted BBQ meals and sides (cash only) 

5:30 PM: Campfire chats
Featuring the National Park Service, expert astronomers, and the drumming group Turning Eagle Singers. 

7 - 10 PM: Night sky viewing
Guided night sky viewing with astronomers and professional telescopes. Monitor light pollution with the National Park Service.

This event is free (donations optional) and open to the public. Registrants will be sent a confirmation email that includes the event schedule, a packing list, and options for local overnight stays.
