Bird Walk with Maine Audubon

Registration is closed for this event
Join Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters and the Maine Audubon for a bird walk in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument

Katahdin Woods and Waters is a biologically diverse area for birds and is an important breeding ground for many of our feathered friends. This makes it a fantastic place for birding. During this bird walk, you will be led by Maine Audubon's Nick Lund through the monument. We will begin the day at Sandbank Stream Campground and then drive to various points along the Loop Road. Along the way, we will demonstrate the importance of Katahdin Woods and Waters as bird habitat, identify birds and help you get to know the birding opportunities in Katahdin Woods and Waters better.

Please bring water, a notebook, lunch and appropriate clothing and footwear for gentle hikes in the monument. Participants are responsible for their own transportation on this trip.
