Join Friends and the NPS in celebrating the reopened Katahdin Overlook on the monument's Loop Road! One of the most iconic spots in Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument, this beautiful picnic area has been updgraded to match the splendor of the view with new informational signs and interpretive materials, ADA vault toilets and walking paths, and a shaded picnic pavillion.
We'll officially cut the ribbon and honor the many hands that made this meaningful enhancement to the national monument possible!
**This event is FREE, but registration is required as space is limited.**
