Sheryl Tishman

Sheryl Crockett Tishman is a dedicated advocate and philanthropist committed to advancing land conservation and community resilience. She serves on the Boards of Trustees of the National Trust for Public Land and Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters, and, together with her husband, Dan, co-founded the NorthLight Foundation, which supports initiatives that strengthen conservation efforts and economic resilience across the United States. Sheryl has also served as a Trustee of Telluride Mountainfilm, the Open Space Institute, the National Audubon Society Expedition Institute, Mianus River Gorge Preserve, the George Mitchell Scholarship Foundation, Teton Valley Ranch Camp, and the Meade School. She holds a BS in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College and an MS in Education from Lesley University. In her spare time, Sheryl enjoys her gardens and all outdoor pursuits—with a particular passion for adventures in the Arctic.
