This project involves the use of game cameras to detect lynx occurring across the
monument. NPS will select camera locations via stratified sampling to account for a range of forest types and densities. NPS will deploy cameras according to a protocol designed to target lynx. NPS will also couple cameras with a snow stake to record snow depth throughout the year. NPS will process and identify photos for more detailed analysis. Occupancy modeling will be completed by a university researcher via task agreement.
