GS9 Education Specialist term position filled through 2026. This NPS position has a significant impact in developing strong relationships with education and community partners. Relationships built and maintained include those with Friends of Katahdin Woods and Waters, Patten Lumbermen’s Museum, Veteran’s Memorial Library (Patten), Millinocket Memorial Library, Town of Island Falls, Town of Sherman, Town of Patten, Maine Forest Service and more. The Education Specialist developed and presented nearly 50 different programs in FY25, including in-park, in-school, distance and professional development education programs as well as community events and outreach and interpretive programs.
